Backup Technologies Courses

The student begins by gaining a deeper understanding of possibly the most important job of a DBA - backup and recovery. The concepts and architecture that support backup and recovery, along with implementation in various ways and situations are covered in detail. Students gain knowledge of the Recovery Manager (RMAN) command-line interface for various backup, failure, restore, and recovery scenarios, including data duplication.

The two-day, Veeam® Backup & Replication™ v11: Architecture and Design training course, is focused on teaching IT professionals how to effectively architect a Veeam solution through attaining technical excellence following the Veeam Architecture Methodology used by Veeam’s own Solution Architects. During the two days, attendees will explore the goals of requirement gathering and infrastructure assessment, and use that information to design Veeam solutions within team exercises. Attendees will analyze considerations when turning logical designs into physical designs and describe the obligations to the implementation team that will implement that design. Other topics covered will include security, governance and validation impacts when architecting a Veeam solution and how to build these intothe overall design. Attendees should expect to contribute to team exercises, present designs and defend decision making.

The RecoverPoint Management course is designed for anyone who is responsible for the administration and management of a RecoverPoint environment.

This course provides participants with the knowledge and basic skills necessary to install, configure, maintain and monitor NetWorker. The course contains lectures, hands-on labs and video demonstrations to provide experience with specific concepts.

This course focuses on optimizing NetWorker performance and integrating NetWorker with Dell EMC backup products, Microsoft applications, Oracle, SAP, MEDITECH and virtual environments. Operational best practices are included with a focus on configuring and performing backup and recovery of file systems, applications and databases. The course provides hands-on labs to reinforce the training.

The PowerProtect DD System Administration course provides the knowledge and skills needed for configuring and maintaining PowerProtect DD systems. The course provides lectures, instructor demonstrations, hands-on exercises, reviews, knowledge checks, and pointers to further study.
