Overview
In MS-4004: Empower your workforce with Microsoft 365 Copilot Use Cases, students perform a series of hands-on exercises involving ten Use Cases – Executives, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, Operations, Communications, Customer Service, and Legal. These exercises focus on using Copilot in various Microsoft 365 apps (such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and so on) to complete a series of common business-related tasks pertaining to each Use Case. To complete the Use Case exercises in this course, each student must have access to a Microsoft 365 subscription (BYOS) in which they’re licensed to use Microsoft 365 Copilot. Each student must also have a Microsoft OneDrive account, since Copilot requires OneDrive to complete the file sharing tasks used throughout the Use Case exercises.

You’ll learn how to use Copilot to:
- Synthesize information. Bring together information from communications and other work sources to identify key updates, decisions, risks, and next steps.
- Analyze business data. Explore data, identify trends, and surface insights that can inform business decisions.
- Create executive communications. Turn information and analysis into summaries, briefings, and other content for different audiences.
- Plan and track work. Use AI-assisted experiences to organize projects and maintain visibility into priorities and progress.
- Use agents to find insights. Create and use an agent grounded in specific business information to answer questions and support decision-making.

Prerequisites
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps and services.
- Access to Microsoft Copilot and the Microsoft 365 apps used in the exercises.
- Some exercises require a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. Agent Builder capabilities and agent availability depend on the licenses and admin settings configured for your organization.
- Access to Microsoft OneDrive to store and share files used in the exercises.
- A basic understanding of Copilot.
