{"id":15957,"date":"2022-08-09T10:14:39","date_gmt":"2022-08-09T07:14:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/muk.training\/?p=15957"},"modified":"2022-08-09T10:17:07","modified_gmt":"2022-08-09T07:17:07","slug":"anons-kursiv-rhel-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/muk.training\/en\/anons-kursiv-rhel-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Announcement of RHEL 9 courses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MUK Training Center &#8211; Red Hat Advanced Training Partner, Authorized delivery partner \u2013 is pleased to announce the start of set for authorized courses according to RHEL 9:<\/p>\n<p>12-16.09.2022 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/muk.training\/courses\/red-hat-system-administration-i-rhel9\/\"><strong>Red Hat System Administration I (RHEL9)<\/strong><\/a><strong> (RH124)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>26-30.09.2022 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/muk.training\/courses\/red-hat-system-administration-ii-rhel9\/\"><strong>Red Hat System Administration II (RHEL9)<\/strong><\/a><strong> (RH134)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>10-14.10.2022 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/muk.training\/en\/courses\/rhcsa-rapid-track-course-rhel9\/\"><strong>RHCSA Rapid Track Course<\/strong><\/a><strong> (RH199)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what\u2019s new in RHEL 9 that you can now find covered in Red Hat Training courses:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Installation and Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simple Content Access changes subscription management, removing many tasks related to preparing registered systems.<\/li>\n<li>Cloud Access methods, images and registration training content have been created to aid in the understanding of how to deploy simple RHEL instances to the cloud.<\/li>\n<li>Kickstart has been simplified and enhanced, with training updated to conform to new procedures and syntax.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Software Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Training courses will start using DNF commands to replace YUM commands.\u00a0 YUM is still supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Networking<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Network teams are deprecated. The teamd service and the libteam library are deprecated in RHEL 9 and will be removed in the next major release. Our courses will revert to teaching network bonding instead.<\/li>\n<li>All firewall infrastructure based on iptables has been removed. The ability to migrate iptables configurations to NFT has been removed. Our courses will teach the standard NFT structures and methods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Security<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SSH root access is now disabled by default.\u00a0 RHEL 9 adds the following new options to the root password configuration screen:\n<ul>\n<li>Lock root account: To lock the root access to the machine<\/li>\n<li>Allow root SSH login with password: To enable password-based SSH root logins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Support for disabling SELinux through \/etc\/selinux\/config has been removed.\u00a0 With this release, support for disabling SELinux through the SELINUX=disabled option in the \/etc\/selinux\/config file has been removed from the kernel. When you disable SELinux only through \/etc\/selinux\/config, the system starts with SELinux enabled but with no policy loaded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Storage<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The exFAT filesystem is now supported in RHEL 9. This filesystem is used for external USB storage and interoperability and\u00a0 data exchange with other operating systems, especially Windows.<\/li>\n<li>VDO management is now built into LVM. Volume management discussions will be updated to new syntax.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Containers<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Containers and tools were added in the most recent update to RH134, and the content remains valid. Podman now supports secure short names, which can be used in our examples.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important!
