Overview

This is a training course on architectural design in Building Information Modeling Autodesk Revit Structure

The course program addresses the following issues:

  • design features of load-bearing structures of a building in Autodesk Revit Structure
  • principles of creating a design model of a building in Autodesk Revit Structure
  • analytical model preparation for export to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis
  • static analysis of a building in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, theoretical reinforcement selection of reinforced concrete elements, sections selection of steel elements
  • the main structural elements reinforcement of the building frame with Revit tools
  • execution of design documentation for the section “reinforced concrete structures”
  • basics of designing steel elements and assemblies in the Autodesk Revit Structure environment

The course is recommended for engineers involved in the calculation of buildings and structures

This course can be adapted according to the specialist specific activities or based on a real pilot project

Autodesk certificate is issued in electronic format after the course completion

Module 1: Supporting frame

  • creation working views of structural structures
  • creation of load-bearing columns elements of reinforced concrete frame
  • creation of load-bearing beams elements of a reinforced concrete frame
  • creation of reinforced concrete floors elements
  • creation of reinforced concrete stairs elements
  • creation structural column elements of the steel framing
  • creation structural steel framing beam elements
  • creation of vertical and horizontal links elements
  • creation structural wall elements
  • creation of foundation elements

Module 2: Calculation scheme

  • working views creation of the calculation scheme
  • automatic creation of the design model elements
  • correction of the design model elements
  • transfer of the design model to Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis
  • creation of loads and actions elements
  • creation of load combinations
  • static structural analysis

Module 3: Preliminary calculation

  • selection of theoretical reinforcement of reinforced concrete elements
  • selection of rolled metal profile
  • calculation of steel elements joints
  • transferring the selection results of theoretical reinforcement and metal profile to Autodesk Revit Structure

Module 4: Construction

  • decorative views creation of structural structures

Module 5: Registration of drawings of the reinforced concrete structures section

  • layout on sheet and decoration
